| 1961 | Summer | One seen at a distance of only a few feet, by' members of Avifaunal Club on Minnesota Point, Duluth. Bird had black legs drooping beak, bright russet-colored back with white markings and the wings were extended to eq~al length with the tail while the bird as at rest. Loose sand made it difficult to tell whether or not the bird had any partial webbing of the toes. Date was 26 August. | ||
